Because the United States of America is home to a large number of citizens of Arab descent, and because those citizens have and maintain economic, business, social, and cultural ties to the various nations of the Arab world, the Arab League is hereby organized to create partnerships between the nations and peoples of the Arab world and between those nations and the United States of America in an effort to achieve common goals related to economic, social, cultural or governmental issues; more specifically, to engage in the following:

  1. To promote programs which encourage peaceful democratic change and promote government reform in the nations of theArab world.
  2. To promote the principles of a multi-party political system, freedom of the press, respect for the rule of law, and respect for the rights of the individual.
  3. To enhance cooperation and coordination between the nations of the Arab World in economic, trade, social and cultural affairs.
  4. To make available to the nations of the Arab world and to the general public, information relating to the economic, cultural, business and trade affairs of Arab nations, with the aim of enhancing economic growth and improving cultural and trade exchanges between those nations and others, through educational seminars and public programs.
  5. To seek out and promote effective investments and reliable partnerships between the nations of the Arab world and the international community through economic, social, cultural or governmental institutions.
  6. To promote sustainable economic growth and socio-economic development in the nations of the Arab world, through targeted economic programs, social investment and educational initiatives.
  7. To strengthen international partnerships and enhance foreign trade opportunities for Arab-owned businesses in the United States.
  8. To respect the national identity, norms and social traditions of all nations in the Arab world.
  9. To undertake any activity which is consistent with any of the above objectives and which is not in violation with the laws of the United States, District of Columbia, or any jurisdiction where the corporation may operate.
